Founder Story, Part 1

Hi, Kyle here—one of the Co-Founders of CleverConsult. I want to share the real story behind why we built this.

Like many of you, I became a doctor to help people—not to drown in paperwork. As a Gastroenterologist, my days were packed with patients, but my evenings and weekends were swallowed by documentation. I’d find myself sitting in my office long after clinics ended, while my wife (also a physician) and our three kids were at home waiting for me.

It didn’t take long to realize this wasn’t sustainable. I love medicine, but I also love being a husband, a dad, and a friend. I wanted to be outside with my kids, not stuck behind a computer. I wanted to have time for my family, friends, and life outside of medicine without sacrificing the quality of care I give my patients.

That’s when it hit me: if other industries were harnessing new technologies like AI to transform workflows, why couldn’t we as specialists do the same? Instead of spending countless hours on documentation, what if we could make it smarter, faster, and more intuitive?

That vision became CleverConsult—a platform built by specialists, for specialists, to take back control of our time. It’s not about replacing us. It’s about giving us the freedom to be more present in our lives by being more efficient at work.

Today, I spend less time buried in notes and more time where it matters most—at home with my kids, on the lake with friends, or simply recharging outside of the hospital.

We built CleverConsult so that specialists everywhere can find that same balance. Medicine will always be demanding, but the way we work doesn’t have to cost us our lives outside the clinic.
